Interesting fact
The interesting fact about this coin is that it features a unique design that showcases the phases of the moon, with the half-moon phase depicted on the coin's obverse (front side). This design was created by Canadian artist Alexandra Lefort and was inspired by the traditional Inuit legend of the moon goddess, Anningan. The coin's reverse (back side) features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, created by Canadian artist Susanna Blunt. The coin was minted in 2017 by the Royal Canadian Mint as part of their "Phases of the Moon" series, and it has a limited mintage of only 7,500 coins worldwide.
