Comment

The types called "Daalder" or "Rixdaler" in France (and their fractions), comes from the Dutch name "rijksdaalder", itself taken from the name of a currency of the Holy Roman Empire, the Reichsthaler established in 1566.
In the Netherlands it is also called: "Arendrijksdaalder" which translates as "rixdale with the eagle".

At the end of May 1583, the joint mint of the three state cities was moved from Deventer to Kampen. It is known that coins minted in Deventer up to 1583 have a five-pointed star as punctuation. We see the change in 1583 to a split leaf (resembling a long cross), which must probably be related to the new Kampen branch.
