Date of issue: 18 JUL 2023Viktor Tsoi, a Soviet rock musician, founder and lead singer of the rock group Kino, was an idol of his time. His songs were a symbol of the perestroika era. Tsoi is also known as an actor. He appeared in a cameo role in the film Assa. After he played a leading role in the film Igla (The Needle), the Sovetsky Ekran (Soviet Screen) magazine recognised Viktor Tsoi as the Actor of the Year. The songs of Viktor Tsoi are still popular with many generations.
