Date of issue: 01 APR 2009The St. Theodor Stratilates Church on the Brook (1360-1361) - is the classic monument of the 2nd half of the XIVth century. It has become the model for Novgorod architects for the long time.
Interesting fact
The coin features an image of the St. Sophia Cathedral in Velikiy Novgorod, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The cathedral was built in the 11th century and is considered one of the most important landmarks in Russian architecture.
