Interesting fact
The 3 Roubles (Tsarskoye Selo) 2000 coin from Russia features an image of the Catherine Palace, which is a former royal palace located in Tsarskoye Selo, a town located about 15 miles southeast of St. Petersburg. The palace was built in the 18th century for Catherine the Great and is considered one of the most impressive examples of Russian Baroque architecture. The coin's design was created by the artist A. V. Bakhrushin and was issued to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the palace's construction.
