Date of issue: 14 APR 1999The mosque «Mardjany» — is the architectural and historical monument of the Tartar people. It was built in 1766-1770 with personal permission given by Catherine II on subscription of 62 parishioners. Shigabutdin Mardjany, the outstanding enlightener and scientist, was the spiritual preceptor of the parish from 1850 to 1889. Sh. Mardjany had wide contacts to Russian scientists and enlighteners.
