Date of issue: 15 FEB 1996The Church of Ilya the Prophet (1647-1650) is a remarkable monument of the Yaroslavl school of architecture of the 17th-century. Its main decoration is the frescoes created by the famed Kostroma artists Guriy Nikitin and Sila Savin in collaboration with Yaroslavl painters.
