Interesting fact
The August III Sas (Drezno) 3 Halerz coin from the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was made of silver, but it was also one of the first coins to use a unique feature called "split dies." This means that the dies used to strike the coin were cut in half and then rejoined, creating a distinctive "split" pattern on the coin's surface. This technique was used to prevent counterfeiting and increase the coin's security.
