Interesting fact

One interesting fact about this coin is that it commemorates the 350th anniversary of the wreck of the "Sea Venture," a British ship that sank off the coast of Bermuda in 1609. The ship was carrying a group of English colonists who were bound for Jamestown, Virginia, but were forced to abandon ship during a hurricane. The survivors spent several months on Bermuda before building two new ships and continuing on to Jamestown. The coin's design features an image of the "Sea Venture" and the coat of arms of Bermuda, and its gold content and limited mintage make it a valuable collector's item.
