Interesting fact

One interesting fact about this coin is that it was issued during the reign of Macrinus, who was the first Roman emperor to be born in the provinces, specifically in the city of Marcianopolis (now Devnya, Bulgaria). This coin, made of billon and weighing 10.5g, was part of a series of coins issued by Macrinus to promote his military campaigns and victories. Despite his efforts, Macrinus' reign was cut short when he was overthrown and killed by his own soldiers in 218 AD.
