Comment

How to distinguish the denominations.

In the past Numista had introduced a km1270a for the large denominations, but the SCWC never had that km#. Hence Numista has now merged the members into the km1270! Please feel free to communicate, if you find any years with a different size of denominations, than defined here?

Interesting fact

The 250 Rials coin from Iran, which was minted between 1387 and 1390 (2008-2011), features a unique design on its reverse side. It depicts a stylized representation of a Persian cat, which is a popular breed of domestic cat that originated in Iran. The cat is shown sitting on a pedestal, surrounded by intricate floral patterns and the coin's denomination. This design was chosen to celebrate the cultural and historical significance of the Persian cat breed, which has been a beloved companion animal in Iran for centuries.
