Date of issue: 01 MAR 2010The Sanaksar Monastery was built in the XVIIIth century. Main building of its architectural ensemble is the five-headed Temple with the Cathedral of Mather of God Nativity in the upper tier and the Church of John's Baptist of our Lord Head Truncation in the lower one. On the territory of the monastery the Russian naval commander admiral F.F. Ushakov was burned.
