Date of issue: 04 MAY 2009The Country Estate Ensemble "Arkhangelskoye" was built in the classicism style not far from Moscow. As monument of the Russian art of the XVIIIth - XIXth centuries it is known through the magnificence of various collections of paintings, engravings, sculptures, works of arts and crafts, rare books. Since 1918 it is the State Country-Museum "Arkhangelskoye".

The Arkhangelskoye coin is a non-circulating commemorative coin issued by the Central Bank of Russia in 2009 to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the founding of the city of Arkhangelsk. The coin's design features an image of the Assumption Cathedral, a prominent landmark in Arkhangelsk, on one side, and the Russian coat of arms on the other. The coin is made of silver (92.5%) and weighs 169 grams. It has a diameter of 39 mm and a mintage of 1,000 pieces. Due to its low mintage and unique design, the Arkhangelskoye coin is considered a rare and valuable collector's item among numismatists.
