Comment

The first design in The Queen's Beast series which began in 2016, there are 10 Beasts in total which are a representation of the statues that stood in Westminster Abbey on the Queen's Coronation in 1953. The statues are now on display in the Canadian Museum of History.

This strike was only part of the complete 10-coin set issued at the completion of the coin series. The 2021 design was also issued in silver proof and reverse silver proof. Issue Limit: 250

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the coin is that it features a unique reverse frosted finish, which gives the coin a distinctive look and feel. This finish is achieved through a special minting process that involves applying a frosted texture to the reverse side of the coin, creating a contrast between the frosted and polished surfaces. This technique adds an extra layer of depth and visual interest to the coin, making it a standout piece for collectors.
