Comment
On the Reverse there is a small rectangle after the word POUNDS which contains 4 digits that can be any number between 0001 and 3000. This coin was only distributed as part of a set with KM#7 to 11, and this 4 digit number indicated the number of that set, but it is only present in this -the biggest- coin of the set.Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the 1969 Biafran 25 Pounds gold coin is that it was minted during a time of great turmoil and conflict in Nigeria. The Biafran War, which lasted from 1967 to 1970, was a brutal conflict that resulted in significant loss of life and widespread destruction. Despite this, the Biafran government still managed to produce this beautiful gold coin, which has become a highly sought-after collector's item among numismatists.
