The Schlosswerft, which was founded by Reinhold Holtz in 1884, was located on the castle island right next to the castle. In addition to the shipbuilding workshops and slip systems, he was able to set up a machine shop, model carpentry, iron and metal foundry and produce the required machines and steam boilers in his own workshops.
It had to close in 1930 and was reopened in 1940 for the construction of hydrofoil speedboats.

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about this coin is that it was minted during a time of economic turmoil in Germany. The coin was issued in the 1920s, a period of hyperinflation in Germany, where the value of the German mark plummeted, and the price of goods and services skyrocketed. Despite this economic instability, the 25 Pfennigs coin remained a stable denomination and was widely used in everyday transactions.
