Comment
There is a persistent error in the KM catalogs concerning this coin since its addition and that hasn't been edited to date (2016). This coin is cataloged with a face value of 50,000 Pesos, rather than the correct 25 Pesos face value. This is a very big error because of how illogical it would be; 50,000 Pesos equals roughly $2,750 dollars at 2016 exchange rates. While its current Gold value would be of $250 dollars by the same exchange rate. With a suggested catalog sale value of $600. So it would be strange to buy a coin for 600 dollars and then sell it back to the Banco de Mexico (who is obliged to pay face value of any coin) to get $2,750 dollars in return.Interesting fact
The 2006 Mexico 25 Pesos Gold Coin, issued to commemorate the World Cup Soccer Games, has a unique feature. It has a special minting process that creates a soccer ball-like texture on the coin's surface, giving it a distinctive and eye-catching look.
