Interesting fact
The obverse (front) side of the coin features a stylized image of a dolphin, which was a symbol of the island of Melos and its association with the sea. The dolphin is depicted swimming to the left, with its dorsal fin and tail visible above the waterline. The image is surrounded by a circular border, and the coin's denomination (Æ25) is inscribed in a smaller font above the dolphin's head.
