Reverse
Engraved in ultra-high relief, the coin features an original depiction by Dominion Sculptor Phillip White of a Gothic-style grotesque interpreted from a carving found on the East Block of the Parliament Buildings. The image portrays a Green man disgorging stylized "stiff-leaf" foliage from its mouth. The staring figure's brows and hair are also composed of whirling, stylized leaves and stems.

The Marmoset of a Leafy Green Man is one of thousands of figures that adorn the Parliament Hill buildings, which are among the world's most important examples of the Gothic Revival architectural style.Discovered in the East Block of Parliament, this fantastical creature has been revisited by Dominion Sculptor Phillip White. The Mint's engravers worked closely with him to design the motif for this coin. The result is an exceptional work of art in very high relief, paying tribute to the techniques used to create the original stone carving.Packaging
The coin is encapsulated and presented in a burgundy double-shell case adorned with the Royal Canadian Mint logo. The case comes with a black protective box.
