The palm tree mark signifies that these coins were minted for overseas territories of the kingdom, as opposed to the acorn mark for the country of the Netherlands.

These coins were struck for both Suriname and Curaçao:

1941 P
------ 500'000 Curaçao
------ 600'000 Suriname (half struck in 1942)
1943 P (including 1943/1)
------ 500'000 Curaçao
------ 2'000'000 Suriname

While Krause lists these coins under Curaçao (KM#38), more coins were struck for Suriname though, where it is not listed. Discussion has taken place where to put these coins in the Numista catalog. In the Dutch catalog Muntalmanak (Schulman), the coin is placed under the Netherlands and in the Dutch catalog regarding the overseas territories (Scholten) the coins can be found under the West-Indies section (1358-1360). Passon (2022) places this coin under the section 'Coins produced for Curaçao in American mints 1941-1944.
The concerning referees decided to put them under both the countries on Numista.

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the 1941-1943 Curaçao 25 Cents coin is that it was minted during World War II, specifically in 1941, 1942, and 1943. This was a time when the Netherlands, which controlled Curaçao as a colony, was under German occupation. As a result, the coin's design and production were likely influenced by the wartime circumstances, making it a unique and interesting piece of numismatic history.
