Interesting fact
The Liberty Cap Quarter, minted from 1831 to 1838, was the first quarter dollar coin to feature a portrait of Lady Liberty, which was designed by John Reich. The coin's design was significant because it marked a departure from the previous Draped Bust design, which had been used on quarters since 1796. The Liberty Cap Quarter's design was also notable for its use of a classical Greek-style portrait of Lady Liberty, which was a departure from the more traditional depictions of Liberty found on earlier American coins.
