Comment
This rare coin features a Caribou on the reverse with the date 1993 but an obverse that was used for the 125th anniversary of Canadian Confederation 1867-1992 at the bottom of the effigy of Elizabeth II (see "Canadian Confederation" series). This coin is an error (MULE).Only 2 known.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a rare error known as a "mule" - a mistake in the minting process where the dies for the obverse (front) and reverse (back) sides of the coin were accidentally swapped. This resulted in a small number of coins being produced with the obverse die on the reverse side and vice versa, creating a unique and highly sought-after variation among collectors.
