Albr. 190bInteresting fact
The 24 Kreuzer coin from the County of Hohenlohe-Langenburg, also known as the "Kipper" coin, was issued during a time of great economic turmoil in the early 17th century. The coin was minted in silver, but due to a shortage of silver, the mint had to use a lower quality metal, known as "Kipper," which was a mixture of silver and other metals. This resulted in the coin being much lighter in weight than other coins of its denomination, leading to its nickname "Kipper." Despite its lower value, the coin was still widely used in trade and commerce, and remains a unique and interesting piece of numismatic history.
