Interesting fact
The coin , the Æ23 - Trajan (ΕΠΙΜ Λ ΤΥΛΛΙΟΥ ΠΕ ΓΡΙΜΕΝΟΘΥΡΕΩΝ) (98-117) from Grimenothyrae (Conventus of Sardis) made of Bronze weighing 6.83 g, is a rare example of a Roman coin that was minted outside of Rome. The Grimenothyrae mint was one of the few provincial mints that were established during the Roman Empire, and it produced coins that were unique to the region. This coin, in particular, is notable for its well-preserved condition and the fact that it still bears the name of the Roman emperor Trajan, who ruled from 98 to 117 AD.
