Interesting fact
The obverse (front) side of the coin features a helmeted head of Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom, war, and crafts. The helmet is decorated with a large crest and a wreath, symbolizing Athena's association with battle and victory. The reverse (back) side of the coin shows a grazing horse, which was a common motif on ancient Greek coins and represented the wealth and prosperity of the city-state of Perinthos.
