Interesting fact

The 200 Shilingi coin was introduced in 1998 as part of a currency reform aimed at combating inflation and replacing the old currency, the Tanzanian shilling. The coin was made of nickel brass and had a unique design, featuring a portrait of Julius Nyerere, the first president of Tanzania, on one side, and the Tanzanian coat of arms on the other. The coin was used for six years, until it was replaced by a new version in 2014. Despite being taken out of circulation, the 200 Shilingi coin remains a popular collector's item among numismatists.
