The city of Yaroslavl was founded by Yaroslav the Wise in 1010. In 1463 the town was annexed to the Moscow State. During the Polish invasion in 1612 Yaroslavl, in fact, was temporary capital of Russia. With many monuments of the Russian history and culture of world significance Yaroslavl is included in the famous tourist trip named "The Golden Ring of Russia".
