Comment

The fifth issue in a 5-year series, the British Monarchs, there will be a total of 21 monarchs, featuring iconic kings and queens from four royal houses: Tudor, Stuart, Hanover and Windsor, formerly known as Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.

This release features a remastered portrait of Henry VIII that appeared on Tudor coinage; the coin was issued individually (issue limit: 57) as well as in a 2-coin set (issue limit: 20) with a gold angel from the reign on Henry VIII. The design was struck in a variety of precious metal compositions and denominations. Issue limit: 77.

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the coin is that it features a unique double-effigy design, with both a portrait of King Henry VIII and a cameo of King Charles III on the same coin. This is a nod to the historical succession of the two monarchs, with Henry VIII being the last Tudor king and Charles III being the current monarch. The coin's design is a way of connecting the past and the present, and it's a fascinating feature that sets it apart from other coins.
