The Pattern 20 Zlotys coin was designed by Polish artist and sculptor, Antoni Madeyski, and features an image of Boleslaus I the Brave, a medieval Polish king, on its obverse side. The reverse side of the coin features the Polish coat of arms and the denomination. The coin was minted in 1925 as a trial strike, which means it was not intended for circulation but rather as a test run to evaluate the design and production process.
