Interesting fact

The 1945 20 Xu coin from North Vietnam was designed by artist Nguyễn Đức Thận, who was a prominent artist and sculptor during the early years of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. Thận's design features a portrait of Hồ Chí Minh, the leader of the Vietnamese independence movement and the eventual president of North Vietnam, on the obverse (front side), and a stylized image of a farmer and a worker on the reverse (back side). The coin was minted in aluminum, which was a common material for coins at the time due to its low cost and durability. Despite its humble origins, the 1945 20 Xu coin has become a sought-after collector's item among numismatists and historians interested in the history of Vietnam.
