One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a unique design that was created by the Austrian artist, Helmut Andexlinger. The design depicts a portrait of Franz Grillparzer, a famous Austrian writer and poet, on one side, and the Austrian coat of arms on the other. The coin was minted to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Grillparzer's birth and was circulated between 1991 and 1993.
