Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the 20 Qirsh coin from Egypt, minted between 1960 and 1966, is that it was made of a unique silver-copper alloy, with 72% silver and 28% copper. This composition was specifically chosen to reduce the cost of production, as silver was becoming increasingly expensive at the time. Despite the change in composition, the coin still maintained its value and remained in circulation for several years.
