Interesting fact

The 20 Pence coin from Ireland made of Nickel brass was designed by the Irish artist, Gabriel Hayes. The coin features a Celtic harp, which is a traditional symbol of Ireland, on one side, and the Irish state crest on the other. The harp is surrounded by a circle of dots, which represents the 32 counties of Ireland. The coin was minted from 1985 to 2000 and was a significant change from the previous 20 Pence coin, which was made of cupro-nickel. The use of Nickel brass was a cost-saving measure, but it also gave the coin a unique golden color that sets it apart from other coins.
