Comment

In an official statement on May 11 2018, the Riksbank denied that this 20 kronor type is abundantly present in its vaults as gold reserve. In reality there are only 47 pieces left. All other copies are melted down or sold at auctions during the eighties and nineties. All catalogs apart from Numista mentioning this piece to be Swedish gold reserve are therefore providing the wrong information.

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the 1925 Swedish 20 Kronor coin is that it was minted during a time of economic crisis in Sweden. The coin was introduced as part of a new currency system aimed at stabilizing the economy and combating inflation. Despite the economic challenges, the coin's gold content and limited mintage have made it a sought-after collector's item among numismatists.
