Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the 1918 Hungarian 20 Korona coin is that it features a unique split legend on its reverse side, which reads "MAGYAR KIRÁLYI ÁLLAM" (Hungarian Royal State) in bold letters, with the dates "1387-1918" flanking the legend on either side. This design was used to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the coronation of Charles IV, the last Hungarian king to be crowned with a crown made of pure gold. The coin's obverse side features a portrait of Charles IV, while the reverse side also includes the coat of arms of Hungary and the denomination "20 KORONA" in a decorative font. The use of a split legend on the reverse side of the coin was a deliberate design choice meant to emphasize the importance of the anniversary being commemorated.
