Illegally struck in London between June and November 1815 but conform to the characteristics of the type, those coins were largely remelted.
Forrer: Under an Order in Council dated 10th May, 1815, 871,581 Louis d'Or (Twenty Francs) were coined in the Royal Mint, London, to pay the troops serving under the Duke of Wellington.
