These pieces were made at the Heaton Mint in England, and send were to be sent to Shensi along with the dies and machinery; however, the machinery never made it to Shensi, instead being diverted to the Hupeh Mint.Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the Pattern 20 Fen - Guangxu (Pattern) ND (1898) from Shensi Province made of Silver is that it is a rare and highly sought-after coin among collectors due to its historical significance and limited mintage. The coin was produced during the Guangxu era (1875-1908) of the Qing dynasty, a time of great change and upheaval in China, and its design reflects the influence of Western styles and technologies on Chinese currency. The coin's rarity and historical importance make it a valuable addition to any collection of Chinese numismatics.
