Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the Liberty Head Double Eagle coin is that it was designed by sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens, who was a renowned artist and sculptor of the time. He was commissioned by President Theodore Roosevelt to redesign the coinage of the United States, and his design for the Double Eagle coin was one of his most notable works. The coin features a depiction of Lady Liberty on the obverse side and an eagle on the reverse side, and it was minted from 1877 to 1907.
