Comment
For almost 300 years, the red maple leaf has symbolized Canadian identity and values. Today, Canadians faithfully display this symbol as a pin or badge, distinguishing them wherever they go. Of course, the maple leaf can be found on our national flag, but it has only been there since the last century. During the First World War, future Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson noticed that it appeared on the insignia of all Canadian battalions. Half a century later, the unified flag was adopted. This fine silver coin features the traditional symbol of our country and pays tribute to the unshakeable Canadian spirit.
Packaging
The coin is encapsulated and presented in a padded burgundy double-shell case featuring the Royal Canadian Mint logo. The case comes with a black protective sleeve.
Interesting fact
The Elizabeth II (Red Impression) 2013 silver coin from Canada features a unique red impression of the Queen's image, which was created using a special technique that involves applying a thin layer of red enamel to the coin's surface. This process adds an extra layer of depth and dimension to the coin's design, making it stand out from other coins in the series.
