Comment

The "$20 for $20" series of silver coins began in 2011. It has continued since then, with four coins issued every year. Unlike most Royal Canadian Mint products, they are sold from the Mint for exactly their face value ($20). This made the series very popular. They are all issued with a specimen finish.

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the 2012 Canadian Silver Diamond Jubilee $20 coin is that it features a unique double-effigy design, with both a traditional portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse and a cameo portrait of the Queen on the reverse, surrounded by a pattern of diamonds. This design was created to commemorate the Queen's 60th anniversary on the throne and to symbolize her enduring legacy as the longest-reigning monarch in Canadian history.
