This is known as the "Amazonian" reverse.Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the 1872 Double Eagle coin is that it was designed by William Barber, who was the Chief Engraver of the United States Mint at the time. Barber's design features a portrait of Lady Liberty on the obverse (front) side of the coin, and an eagle on the reverse (back) side.
