The Pattern 20 Dinara coin was designed by sculptor and engraver, Antun Augustinčić, who was a prominent artist in Yugoslavia at the time. Augustinčić's design features a portrait of a young woman, representing the "New Yugoslavia," on the obverse side of the coin, while the reverse side features the coat of arms of Yugoslavia and the denomination. The use of aluminum in the production of this coin was a deliberate choice to make it more accessible and affordable for the general population, as it was a less expensive material than traditional metals like gold, silver, or copper. Despite its relatively low value, the Pattern 20 Dinara coin remains a unique and interesting piece of numismatic history.
