This Fine Silver (.999) Proof 20 cent coin was released as part of the annual Fine Silver Proof Year Set. The Royal Australian Mint began releasing Fine Silver Year Sets in 2003 and have continued to do so since then. The Platypus standard reverse 5 cent coin has been included in the Fine Silver Proof Year every year since 2009 as well as 2004. The Jody Clark 6th Portrait of Queen Elizabeth has been used on the obverse of coins in this 2020 edition of the set for the first time. The Fine Silver Proof Set normally includes a, 10 cent, 20 cent, 50 cent, $1 and $2 coin as well as this 5 cent coin. The sets are issued in a presentation case, initially made from wood but recently made from plastic or imitation wood.
