Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it was the first coin to feature the third portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, which was designed by sculptor Raphael Maklouf and introduced in 1985. The new portrait was a departure from the previous depictions of the Queen, showing her with a more mature and regal appearance, and it was used on many coins throughout the Commonwealth until her death in 2022.
