Comment

In this pattern, for KM 175.1, there is an error on reverse, it should be a 50 Cents coin (Half Boliviano), but mistakenly reads 20 instead of 50 (cents).

Krause lists this coin as minted at La Paz, but, out of there was no minthouse al la Paz, it shows the Potosí monogram (PTS).

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the Pattern 20 Centavos (error - Medio Boliviano; Brass Pattern) 1902 from Bolivia made of Brass is that it is a rare and highly sought-after collector's item among numismatists due to its error in minting, which mistakenly labeled it as a "Medio Boliviano" instead of its actual denomination of 20 centavos. This error, combined with its unique brass composition and limited mintage, make it a valuable and highly prized addition to any coin collection.
