Coat of arms (1935 - 1975). To distinguish Mozambique Coat of arms from other Portugal colonies: Within the centre of the Globe & to the top right, is the Bunch of Arrow tied with a ribbon (signifying the arms of the native Africans & their culture).
The Portugal coats or Escutcheon Shield is to the top left and was part of the all Portugal Colonies coat of arms.

Interesting fact

The 20 Centavos coin from Mozambique was designed by the artist José de Almada Negreiros, who was a prominent Portuguese artist and sculptor. The coin features a portrait of Samora Machel, the first president of Mozambique, on one side, and the country's coat of arms on the other. The coin was minted in 1973 and 1974, and it was made of bronze, weighing 1.8 grams. This coin is a rare and valuable collector's item, especially for those interested in African numismatics.
