Interesting fact
The 20 Centavos coin from Portugal was designed by the artist José de Almada Negreiros, who was a prominent figure in the modernist movement in Portugal. The coin features a portrait of the Portuguese poet and writer, Luís de Camões, on one side, and the coat of arms of Portugal on the other. Almada Negreiros' design was chosen through a competition held by the Portuguese government in 1941, and it was used for the 20 Centavos coin until 1969.
