Interesting fact
The obverse (front) side of the coin features a portrait of King Lysimachus, who ruled Thrace from 305 BC to 281 BC. He was a Macedonian general who became one of the Diadochi, the successors of Alexander the Great. The coin was issued during his reign, and it's interesting to note that the portrait of Lysimachus on the coin is one of the few surviving images of him.
