The Władysław Strzemiński coin was designed by Polish artist and sculptor, Piotr Augustyniak. The coin's design features a portrait of Strzemiński on one side and an image of his famous painting, "Kompozycja VIII" (Composition VIII), on the other. The coin was issued to commemorate the 120th anniversary of Strzemiński's birth and the 70th anniversary of his death.
