Comment

The artist (Antoni Madeyski), designing an idealized image of the Polish community, was inspired by Janina Żółtowska's facial features. For him, she represented perfect beauty. Due of the fact that the appearance of Janina Żółtowska reminded Madeyski of Queen Jadwiga, symbolically, many people erroneously attribute this image to the Polish Queen.

Interesting fact

The 2 Zlotys coin from Poland, minted between 1932 and 1934, features an image of the Polish coat of arms on one side and the value on the other. The coat of arms includes a crowned eagle, which symbolizes the country's rich history and heritage. The eagle is surrounded by a wreath of laurel leaves, representing victory and glory. The coin's design was created by Polish artist and engraver, Józef Aumiller, and it has become a recognizable symbol of Polish identity and national pride.
